    Fourth GCC Visual Arts Forum to be held in December in UAE

    The United Arab Emirates will host the fourth edition of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Visual Arts Forum from 20th-25th December 2022 in cooperation with the Secretariat General of the GCC. A selection of Gulf artists from various branches of visual arts will take part in the forum at Manarat Al Saadiyat in Abu Dhabi. This forum will be accompanied by an art exhibition until December 30th.

    Fourth GCC Visual Arts Forum to be held in December in UAEAs part of the GCC Cultural Strategy 2020-2030 launched by the heads of state and ministers of culture of GCC countries, the forum aims to promote the creativity of GCC artists. As part of the programme, participants will also conduct technical workshops, take part in cultural tours, and engage in networking activities.

    This exhibition will elevate the status of the arts and support the artists’ cultural vision, which is also inspired by the event’s slogan “You and I, what and when?” Prizes will be awarded in four categories: “Visual Arts,” “Traditional Arabic Calligraphy,” “Arabic Calligraphy Letters,” and “Photography.”

    A committee of specialists will judge the works of participating artists based on a specific theme chosen by the country organizing the event. Gold, silver, and bronze awards will be given based on a set of criteria. To participate in the exhibition, participants can register via the official website of the Ministry of Culture and Youth.
