Two-year anniversary of Air Arabia Abu Dhabi celebrated

    July 15, 2022

As the capital’s first low-cost carrier, Air Arabia Abu Dhabi celebrated its second successful year of operations on the 14th of July, 2022, having flown more than 800,000 passengers on some 7,600 flights. Over the past two years, the carrier’s fleet has grown from two Airbus A320s at launch to eight brand-new aircraft as of today, with more aircraft expected by year’s end. As a result of its launch during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, the carrier has not only contributed to the enhancement of confidence in flight, but has also contributed to the growth of Abu Dhabi’s growing aviation and tourism sectors by offering high-value, cost-competitive air travel services direct from Abu Dhabi to key destinations worldwide.

Two-year anniversary of Air Arabia Abu Dhabi celebratedOn 14th July, 2020, Air Arabia Abu Dhabi inaugurated its operations by flying to Alexandria in Egypt. The next day, Air Arabia Abu Dhabi operated a flight from the UAE’s capital to the Nile city of Sohag. At Abu Dhabi International Airport, the carrier began operations with two Airbus A320 aircraft, offering the same value-for-money product and services as Air Arabia Group. There are 24 routes operated by the carrier across Egypt, Bahrain, Azerbaijan, India, Bangladesh, Turkey, Nepal, Sudan, Pakistan, Oman, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Georgia.
